We here at Entouraaj, are proud to be able to bring you content that you are not able to find anywhere else, including new designers and brands that you may not have heard of yet. To that end, we bring you a focus on a brilliant emerging brand, created by the über talented Nick Singh.

The ideology of Nick Singh is to take men’s fashion into a new horizon – blending male couture in ways never seen before. Nick began in fashion by creating pieces for his own wardrobe, as he could not find anywhere that catered for his own taste. His objective today is to create an enviable creation of apparel, which has led him on a search around the world for the finest fabrics, of variety and of a quality which are the major strengths of his pieces.

The brand is defined by its Indo-Western fusion of style, luxury and a bold approach to fashion. The launch collection showcased a range of distinctive slim cut jackets. The Formal Evening jacket, Wildcard and Signature have all been hand cut from brocade, silk, velvet or jacquard and are tailored to the customer’s bespoke requirements.

The designer jacket is the one piece that defines the Nick Singh collection. When I discussed what makes a designer jacket with Nick, he told me that there are numerous contributing factors that have to come together – the fit and the cut must be right, and the cloth and style must be perfect. The jacket needs to separate itself from work wear and a smart evening look, into a piece that elevates its wearer into a more stylish and distinguished individual. As such, Nick’s jackets are more fashion focused than a blazer that you may find on the high street or online.

The style of a bespoke Nick Singh Design jacket is down to the individual. Some wearers will prefer the fit and cut to do the talking and opt for a simple cloth, perhaps in midnight blue or black. Others want to show more flair, with flashes of colour on the boutonnière or with the choice of buttons. Nick will guide you with what works best for you, with your body shape and taste.

The use of these jackets can be manifold. Whilst they will look great for social occasions, when dressing up is important, they can also look great with smart denim and an open neck shirt, or with trousers, a V neck jumper and smart brogues.

The emphasis on good tailoring is of paramount importance to Nick. He creates bespoke pieces that will fit like a glove. Having attended many social and special events over the years, he has been inspired by constantly evolving design concepts and is constantly seeking to create unique and creative pieces.

Going forward, the next range is set to include a unique collection of jackets for both men and women. Nick is also working on creating three signature pieces inspired by three key capital cities synonymous with the fashion world, as well as a range of accessories. Speaking about being a fashion designer, Nick says:

“I love the way that clothes not only make us look, but more importantly how they empower our individual personas. Clothes should be inspiring and they should make you go about your day feeling on top of the world.”
